Lasts all night, probably longer, with music playing constantly. Very happy with it. Be aware that it only attaches magnetically and can separate. Not an issue if you know in advance.

We have our Alexa in the kitchen, but the angle was not very good for viewing while cooking. This changed everything. Also, we wanted to be able to move Alexa around, and this makes it super easy. we leave it plugged in at the bottom all the time, so it is always charging. then, when we want to move it around, we just unplug it and take it to where we want. We have taken it out on the patio a couple times, and it is very nice to have it out there, and be able to change the music station whenever we want by just saying it. Also, I was a little nervous about the magnet on the bottom, but it is actually very strong. I'm able to lift up the entire thing by alexa, and the base stays on perfectly. My son also likes it because he is able to move it around in the kitchen for while he is cooking. This is super easy to just ask for a recipe, it shows it, and he can move it whenever he wants

Just set up the GG MM Es5 Battery base yesterday and I've already told family members to get one. This enabled me to take my Show 5 to a table so I can have a drop in chat with my 88 year old Dad who lives in a different state. We can see each other and I don't have to stand next to the kitchen counter where the echo show 5 was plugged in. I will use for recipes also since I can tilt for easy viewing.

Everything about this is great except we bought it to be our screen for the Nanit baby monitor. It is very delayed so we decided not to use it for this purpose. We still use it to listen to music and bought the battery pack so we can bring it outside. My fiancé called me on it using FaceTime as well and it was very clear. I bought this base to make my daughter's Echo Show 5 mobile. She uses it with cameras to monitor my two month old grand daughter while she works from home. I liked it so much I bought myself a base and Show 5. Without this accessory I wouldn't have purchased the Echo Show 5, it's the mobility that's so attractive to me. It's a rechargeable base with 4 LED lights to display the charge, and it lasts all day if I turn off the Show 5 display when not in use.

It is so nice to be able to video call the family on this device. The battery version of the stand also makes it very portable, so can walk it round the house/garden.Only problem we have experienced is that it doesn't readily connect to my son's equivalent device. I listen to audiobooks all the time, so I thought I'd invest in an Echo Show 5 and this battery stand to be able to take it around the house when doing housework. I particularly love using it in the bathroom (with the camera turned off), where I can shout commands to turn it off and on without getting the device wet.On first receiving the item, I left it on with photos scrolling and occasionally listening to books. It lasted 12 hours before running out. It then took 5 hours to fully charge. You can use the Echo Show's plug to charge the battery whilst it is sitting being powered by the battery. So far it has been just what I wanted.

The product is built in very good quality materials. It's the perfect size for the Amazon Echo Show 5 inch wizard. It has a magnet on its base that firmly attaches both surfaces, and it is possible to rotate vertically for better viewing angles. I posted a question on this item before I purchased but didn't get a response, so I took the plunge and bought it anyway. I asked how long the battery would last on video calls... Now I know you would normally plug it into the mains for power hungry functions but I was interested as I call video call quite a lot.So in answer to my own question (and for anyone else who may want to know) the battery lasted for 7.5hrs on constant video call, from full charge to completely flat.I hope this helps.

I previously had a GGMM D3 battery base for my Echo Dot that started humming (from the battery base) after about 11 months of use. I used the online contact form to let them know about the problem, and GGMM sent me a new D3 unit that's been working fine.Their Customer Service gave me the confidence to buy from GGMM again for my Echo Show 5. With the ES5 base I can angle the Show 5 so it's easier to read since it sits on a shelf above my computer monitor most of the time. The USB power port is handy to charge my phone but I've only used it when the base is plugged in to the wall.It's great to be able to move the Show 5 around, and the base has good enough battery life to make it worthwhile to take it with me out to the garage or the back patio.

This is great! It allows you to take it with you but only for 6-8 hours. It is meant to be plugged in and then you unplug it to take it with you when you need it. It is not meant to stay on battery for longer than 8hours.

Upgraded our echo dot to this, love the screen and the fact can video chat from work when possible, however Alexa's voice does sound less clear than the other echo products we own and i am sure this will be fixed via software soon

I wasn’t sure that we would get much use out of this battery base, but to my surprise we use it daily, mainly taking the echo to the kitchen or outside to do yard work. The battery is life is very good. We’ve had it playing music for 4-5 hours at a time and haven’t yet drained the battery. We were going to buy the Alex Auto but we read the reviews and they were not kind, we didn't want too use our phones or have the wires so we bought the GGMM ES5 Battery Base for Show 5. Now we have a fully functional Show 5 in our Chrysler Pacifica. After hooking up to the Cars AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot we had log into Amazon to verify it was ours and ever since it does everything we want in the car. My kid have used it to watch YouTube and we have streamed Amazon Music on the stereo via Bluetooth. It was used for over straight hours on a drive and it never ran out of battery. Charged in the hotel over night and worked all the way home the next day. The fact the base has some weight is great because it reduces movement when sitting on the center console between the front seats.
